In addition to reviews I'd like hear some thoughts on road vs. tri bikes. I'm not sure if I will be upgrading my bike for this adventure but if I do this question will be square one.
Slim-
I had some really good luck at the end of last year between november and january. This is when they close out the model year.
I'm still up in the air on road vs. tri but Cronz says that his brothers friends all switched to road the second year they did IMWI.
I had not planned on upgrading my bike. Are others thinking of doing this? Do we think that racing on a Specialized Transition Multisport will hold me back? Honestly, I didn't even think about that yet.
My brother said all of his friends bought tri bikes for their first IMWI then returned the next year with a road. I think conventional wisdom is road for that course but not sure. I will be going road but may upgrade my wheels.
