Ran across my first ever Triathlon results today posted on the web. This was funny to see. It was Lifetime Olympic 2002. Check it out.

Swim - 28:28 (1:53/100) **not bad**
T1 - 4:22 **ouch**
Bike - 1:26:40 (14.7mph) **double ouch**
T2 - 4:31 **most everyone went home about now**
Run - 52:30 (10:57 mile splits) **saw them taking down the finish line after lap 1**
Total Time: 2:56:30 **all spectators were gone**
860 out of 884 overall.
I was sick for 2 weeks after this race.

So, my friend, it is YOU who are the original Tri-Ster. I did not know you were throwing down with your bad self in '02?!?
You know what I call that finish? Creating a lot of opportunity.
Given our lifestyles at the time I could argue that your finish was more impressive than most others on that day.
Didn't do it.

My impression is that you go completely full throttle in order to report back to your coach on where you're at on day one.
